HIGHLIGHTS The food security situation continues to deteriorate in GoY controlled areas, with 37 percent of the population facing severe food deprivation in August. Escalating hostilities are likely to deepen food insecurity in affected areas, eroding household access to food. WFP activated its emergency response reaching more than 76,000 displaced people, through the Rapid Response Mechanism and cooperating partners.
