This brief examines the gendered impacts of the fuel crisis that began in Myanmar in March 2026, driven by global shortages stemming from the conflict in the Middle East. Developed through the Myanmar Gender in Humanitarian Action Working Group, the brief draws on in-person consultations with women-led organisations (WLOs) and a survey of 63 WLOs, civil society organisations, and humanitarian actors working across the country.
