Venezuela Earthquake Emergency Update 24-29 June 2026
Country: Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) Source: UN High Commissioner for Refugees Please refer to the attached file. • Two major earthquakes struck north-central Venezuela on 24 June, with the strongest impact reported in La Guaira and the Greater Caracas area. • As of 29 June, at least 1,719 people had been reported dead, more than 5,034 people injured and 15,866 were reported affected. Figures are expected to evolve as search-and-rescue operations and assessments continue. • Updated report
