Operational Context & Analysis As of 31 May 2026, more than 1.25 million refugees had arrived in the Republic of Moldova1 from Ukraine since 24 February 2022. While most continued westward to the EU, around 140,000 Ukrainian refugees, of whom 64% were female, and 48% were children are in the territory of Moldova. To enhance and promote evidence-based protection interventions throughout the co
