Since the 2021 military coup, the Burma Army has intensified attacks on civilian populations across Burma/Myanmar, driving prolonged and repeated displacement. As a result of these indiscriminate or deliberate attacks, the number of displaced villagers, particularly women and their children, has risen sharply in Burma, from just over 330,000 prior to the 2021 coup, to approximately 3.75 million.
