As of 31 July 2026, Tanzania hosts 130,924 refugees and asylum seekers, mainly from the DRC and Burundi. Of these, 89,574 live in Nyarugusu Camp, while 41,350 (mostly Burundian) refugees live in urban areas, villages, and old settlements in Dar es Salaam, Kigoma, Katavi, and Tabora regions.
