Context Peru remains the second destination country for Venezuelan nationals who have been forced to flee, with over 1.64 million residing in the country by the end of 2025. The capital, Lima, hosts over one million Venezuelans, making it the city with the largest Venezuelan population outside of Venezuela. As of December 2025, 556,791 people are asylum-seekers and 6,8
