Myanmar: Taw Oo District Situation Update: Burma Army shelling, arrests, and militarisation; drug issues; and challenges to education, transportation, and livelihood in Daw Hpah Hkoh Township (January to March 2026)

This Situation Update describes events occurring in Daw Hpah Hkoh (Thandaunggyi) Township, Taw Oo (Toungoo) District. During the period from January to March 2026, the Burma Army shelled villages, killing two villagers and injuring four villagers. Then, the Burma Army Belu Column arrested five villagers and released four of them, while keeping one of them in detention. Additionally, the Burma Army arrested two v
