On 15 May 2026, windstorm occurred in the communities of Yar Duste in Magaji Gari ward, Yar Dusa in Shiyar Ra ward and Dan Fago in Uban Dawaki ward of Gummi Local Government Area, Zamfara State. According to key informants, the windstorm displaced 968 individuals from 242 households, including 542 children, 247 women, and 179 men.
